ASQMS self evaluation workshop
Define the next steps of sustainable improvement

What is going well and what needs to be improved?

You think there is space for improvement in your organization dealing with software. Whether software is a new field of action for you or you are already doing a lot to ensure software quality

Then our self-assessment workshop is exactly what you need:

  • You’ll explore a full range of best practices, some of them will be new for you
  • You’ll get to discuss how well these practices are already established in your company
  • You’ll identify where things could be better and work out what needs to be done.
  • You’ll prioritize the measures and define the next steps
  • You’ll get the people involved, create a common view and get their support
This is how we do the workshop

Together with your team, we present proven practices e.g. on configuration management, Software tool chain management, collaboration with suppliers or maintenance of a product.

You can ask questions to make sure you understand the practices and discuss the degree of implementation within your company. Afterwards you  evaluate the need for action on a scale from 0 to 4.

The result - Transparency instead of gut feeling

Different evaluations within the team are expressly desired. They reveal blind spots, different implementation levels across the organization and different expectations.

After the workshop, you will receive a compact documentation of the results. This includes:

  • A description of the presented practices
  • Your prioritized list of need for action
  • Practices with strong variance in the evaluation
  • Initial indications of possible improvements

The result is ideal to derive an improvement program or as a basis for discussions with partners and suppliers.

The difference to an audit

This isn’t about whether you’ve got all the expected practices in place or an auditor asking questions to you. It’s about whether you think these practices actually support you or are established in your organization. You’re in control, so you decide what practices you want to improve or implement.

Who is the target group for the workshop

The workshop is aimed at organizations that want to systematically establish or further develop software-driven quality regardless of whether ASQMS or other standards have already been introduced.

Typical participants are:

  • Development managers
  • Software architects and developers
  • System and requirement managers
  • Test managers
  • Process responsibles
  • Quality assurance, ASPICE or functional safety experts
  • Project managers
  • Representatives of related functions such as purchasing, service or supplier management

It is also possible to apply the format to external partners at a later date.

Duration, effort and price
  • Duration: approx. 4 hours
  • Format:  on-site
  • Participants: ideally 5-12 people
  • Preparation: no extensive preparation required
  • Price: €2,000 plus VAT.

The format is deliberately kept compact with high impact and minimal effort.

q.sphere Event and Training
What makes the workshop special?

  • It’s compact, but effective
  • It’s clearly structured, but it’s also got variety
  • It’s about assessing whether there’s a real need for action, not about judging maturity levels
  • Uses ASQMS’s proven content, but isn’t too pushy about it
  • It’s a mix of training and a workshop
  • It makes it easy for the team to see the differences in opinion and have a chat about them

Curious?

We would be happy to show you how the workshop works in a short preliminary talk and why many of our customers use it as an ideal introduction to rethinking software quality.
